IMMIGRATION LAW
Our firm is dedicated to the following areas of immigration law:
1.) Family Reunification and Naturalization;
2.) Removal Defense; and
3.) Appeals.
1. Family Reunification and Naturalization
-Our office has significant experience preparing and representing people with their applications for immigration relief with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
-Mr. Zelada has accompanied numerous clients to their interviews for adjustment of status, naturalization, and other relief to insure that the interview is conducted in a proper and congenial manner.
2. Removal Defense
-If you or a loved one is detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), we understand the questions and concerns that a detained person and his family may have about the consequences of
immigration detention. It is understandable for you to fear that you or your loved one may be deported if immediate action is not taken. Mr. Zelada and his legal staff are ready to answer your questions and inform you whether there is an opportunity to release your loved one on bond or whether it will be necessary to request a hearing with an immigration judge to make a bond determination.
-The Immigration Court is perceived by many as an intimidating setting. However, with the proper preparation needed in anticipation of your court hearing and with the experience necessary to develop and elaborate the points and arguments needed in support of your application(s) for relief, we insure that the best defense is made in your case.
-Mr. Zelada has successfully represented many clients in Immigration Court. Mr. Zelada has stopped deportations and has successfully had the Immigration Court return Legal Permanent Resident status to his clients.
-Our office represents clients in Immigration Court by using various relief applications including but not limited to Cancellation of Removal for Permanent and Nonpermanent Residents, NACARA, Adjustment of Status, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Asylum, and Withholding of Removal under the Convention Against Torture (CAT).
3. Appeals
-When your immigration court proceedings have concluded and your results are not what you desired, there is still hope and a legal basis to continue to fight your case. Our office will review your complete immigration file and explain to you whether there is a basis to appeal your case and fight to get you United States Legal Permanent Residency.
